Nathen is doing well, he has lost about 30% of his bidy mass in the past month because we have had to take him off of his nutritional supplements so we may begin the next step in his treatment plan. His lack of nutrition has made him very whiny and he sleeps alot more. He has gone from 29.7lbs to 23.32lbs. Over all considering everything his spirits are very high and he amazes me more and more every day when I see his smile! He is currently getting an antibody treatment with radiation attached injected into his brain and spinal fluid once a week for a total of 5 weeks. The treatments have been going well and we will retest after the 5th treatment to see if it is doing its job. After the completetion of the antibody we will look at other options. If there is disease onhis scans we will have to reassess if being at slaon kettering is the answer or if there is other treatment options out there as we were told that if it comes back in his brain they dont have any other curative options for him. There are treatments to slow it down but not to kill it like we need. There are sooooo many options out there that are still expiermenting on how well they work to get rid of the disease. we will cross that bridge IF it comes to that.
