If you are making a monetary donation directly to Amanda and Nathen please specify if you would like it to go directly towards Nathen's surgery or to help with all of the extra expenses incurred during their family crisis and to help suppliment the loss of income. All monies collected for Amanda and Nathen will be used for the family to pay some of their monthly bills, expenses to help with the care of Amanda's other two children along with Nathen's medical bills, items needed for Nathen's care and well being, and other expenses incurred during any future traveling they will be doing. Some of this money has been put to the side also to help with Nathen's upcoming surgery as this is on all our minds. Amanda has not been able to work since being in the hospital w/Nathen 24/7 since July.

July 28th - Sent in by Luana Rodriguez in Waco, Texas - I have an idea for Nathen this winter. A local friend of mine has a daughter in New Orleans that is the head pediatric oncology nurse at a children's hospital. Because of the chemo, all the kids lose their hair so we made hundreds of really cute hats and donated them to the hospital. I thought I would make some really cute Curious George hats to keep his little head warm this winter.

Attention all potential blood donors! We have a rare opportunity to assist one of our extended Boeing family members, because OBI is crediting our donations to 23 month old Nathen Trueblood, who is fighting cancer. Nathen is the grandson of Boeing retiree Elmer Goetz (E-6 Program).
 
Monday, August 13th, is the date for the Summer Blood Drive. The scheduled times are from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, at 15 minute intervals. Please sign up for a time that is the most convenient for you, and I will attempt to accommodate your request.
 
Please reply to this e-mail by Tuesday, July 31st. For additional information about this Blood Drive, email or call Paul Schoelen at 733-1595. Also, remember that we have many appointments available for Red Blood Cell & Plasma (RBCP) apheresis donations.
